Okay, here's the question: What should you do who come up on a large backup in the right lane, 1/2 mile before the traffic is supposed to merge? Should you:

1) Get in line, even though the left lane is clear all the way to the merge

2) Move to the left lane and drive toward the merge so traffic will be filling both lanes?

3) Pass on the right.

If you picked #3, please find the nearest law enforcement officer and turn in your driver's license.

Otherwise, it's open to debate from both sides. Some say you shouldn't merge until you get to the merge area and drivers are stupid to stack up in the right lane when the left lane is clear.

Others say the drivers in the right lane were there first, waiting patiently in line before you got there and you shouldn't pass them.

Finally, a bonus question: What should you do if you spot a traffic vigilante who takes it upon himself to try and BLOCK you from legally driving in the left lane?

You can give your comments on this scenario by clicking the 'COMMENTS' link at the end of the really fascinating article. I'm anxious to hear what you think.

Monday, March 4

A swing in extremes is the theme for this week. As we begin to thaw from Friday's snow and Saturday's deep freeze, it looks like the sun will be in full force and temperatures will be nearing 48 degrees by mid-week. Welcome to March in Colorado!

The seven-day forecast shows a warming trend during the next few days. Temperatures will be close to 50 degrees by Wednesday and Thursday, with plenty of sunshine through the week.

We will be warm through the week until Friday, when the temperatures will drop back into the 30s and there is a chance for snow Friday into Saturday morning. How much? Stay tuned.
