Don't forget, this Saturday 2 -4 at the fire station!

Becoming wildfire resilient is not possible without community. We can only do this together. So, join the conversation,
learn how we can work together to reduce the risk of wildfire in our beautiful mountain community.

This is a really important meeting. Everyone should make an
effort to attend. Lots to learn and share and brought to you
by a bunch of people working on their own time and their own
dime to help us stay safe as our wild fire danger increases.

Thanks to all who came out for this important event! We had a great turnout!
I think some of it is available online, I'll see about getting it posted.

Thanks to you & John for keeping us informed and doing all that you do regarding these important issues.

Witnessing the multi agency cooperation and collaboration was awesome.
I'm so proud of our community!

The CWPP will be an interesting, informative and useful document.

Bailey Wildfires - Working Together to “Get Out Alive”

We have reached $10,000, our first critical milestone! Let’s all work together to reach our $20,000 milestone. Thanks to a generous $2,000 matching donation from “Concerned about 43” we are well on our way. The next $2,000 in donations will now be matched dollar for dollar. Go online now (http://www.IOBY.org/BaileyWildfires) and double your donation dollars.

Thanks to everyone who has already donated to make this project a success!

"Can you imagine being trapped on CR 43 (or CR72 or Mt Evans) trying to get your family and pets to safety? Can't move forward, can't move backwards and the wildfire is closing in on you.
What a horrible way to die"

There are several ways out of the valley in an emergency such as fire. there is a road from Harris park reservoir down into Hidden valley ranch, woodside. there is Slaughterhouse gulch to Crow gulch to Crow Hill There is several outlets from the Deer Creek Valley Ranchos through Deer Creek ranch to Rolland Valley or Woodside. All are on private property but in an emergency they can be available. some are small dirt roads that a truck or 4x4 would be helpful. Use Google Earth to research this. go to these places and see for yourself how to access them so if and when we need to get out you will know where to go. wire cutters and bolt cutters and a good chain. you can get out.

This fire in Paradise, California is a cautionary tale for Bailey. This is why Fire Adapted Bailey is organizing the crowdfunding project (https://spark.adobe.com/page/J9P5iVNs4bmON/) to fire mitigate
our critical evacuation roadways.

You know, our situation immediately came to mind
when I heard about this tragedy. This is really scary.

The power point is too big for Pinecam. In order to see the CWPP presentation go to

https://www.fireadaptedbailey.org

Go to Events and scroll down to the bottom of the page to the link to the Forest Guilds Presentation of the CWPP.
