OUR COMMUNITY CAME OUT AGAIN!
We asked for help to create defensible space through mitigation of Jeanne & Ralf Schurr’s property, and you responded.

Twelve volunteers fell, limbed, bucked, dragged and stacked slash on Saturday. Their combined efforts totaled 73.5 hours. Jeanne & Ralf put on quite the lunch, ensuring we all had plenty to eat, that kept our energy level up.

Our Bailey residents are recognizing the importance of the mitigation work Burland Firewise is performing. Once again, we had volunteers from outside of the Burland and adjacent communities. Tim & Michelle Houghton represented the CR43 corridor, spending the entire day with us. Their help was greatly appreciated.

There is still slash to dragged and stacked at the Schurr’s. Burland Firewise will schedule a second work day in the near future.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Bailey Community and our Volunteers.
