CRC Tuesday Night Run: Fall Colors Special Edition(Hosted by Daniela Wohlwend)-September 18th, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, Staunton :elk dance:
State Park - Colorado Parks and Wildlife, 12102 S Elk Creek Rd, Pine, CO. The crispness is in the air, the leaves are changing
and fall is on its way! For this weeks Tuesday Night Run we will be celebrating the changing of the seasons by going on a jaunt
around Staunton to view the colorful aspens. The route is 6.5 miles with 1200' of elevation gain
We will meet at the very top lot, by the bathrooms, for a 5:30 PM departure. From the top lot we will take Dines Meadow to Mason
Creek. From the intersection we head left and up, up, up, to complete a 2.5 mile / 1100' climb. Enjoy the descent down to the Old
Mill and pause to enjoy the changing leaves. Continue to descend down the Old Mill trail to the junction of Staunton Ranch trail.
It's a rolling 2 miles back to the cars, where plentiful high fives await you. As always, everyone is welcome! We always stop at
all intersections and wait and we never leave anyone behind. All abilities and speeds are encouraged to join. "Your pace is the best
pace!" Also, fun fact: the very first time I met Bryan, we ran this loop! So, its sort of the birth route of CRC.
