I think the consensus from the previous threads was that nobody truly recycles batteries; the batteries eventually find their way to a landfill no matter which route they take. I would love to be proven wrong.

Unfortunately, I believe you are right keg. All these places take them which makes the consumer feel good about it, but will even tell you that all they do is throw them in the trash.

biggreenbox.com recycles them but you have to pay
