I would have to agree with you on some great fish and chips! They did make it with their own beer batter with just the right size of fresh cod fish!

It was great!

Very good in my Opinion - better than the frozen beer battered fish from a warehouse fresh frozen at some other time...

Hubby had the flat iron steak special - he didn't care for it - no marbling in the meat. I tried a couple of bites - OK, but nothing I'd order again.

We'll be back for the fish and chips tho!

It was great seeing Janet behind the bar, she has kinda a brash attitude, but funny as all get out, once you get to know her and we've been following her around different places up here for nearly 10 years now and was glad to see her behind the bar this evening as well.

Not that we've been stalking her or anything, but when we do come across her she still remembers what we both drink after all these years. To us - that's customer service!

I can't comment on the fish and chips since I haven't tried it. But I do think they make pretty good pizza, and the price is decent for what you get. Maybe the best off 285, but my opinion changes as other places like JJ Madwells make decent pizza too. But I still haven't found a great pizza place off 285.

We have had slow service issues there, though. But we aren't regulars.

Popped in the other day to pick up a Pizza, one of those "white pizzas", very good and just as good when reheated later that night.
Decited to order a couple of cups of thier Homemade Green Chile-WOW best I have had in years. Now Green Chile can be a tricky dish, really hope there is consistancy with this product

Just enjoyed the Fish and Strings at Crossroads again and it was delicious! I ordered the onion strings instead of the fries this time.

Last time I ate there about a month ago, the fish was fried way beyond the golden brown and the fries were really greasy. But I gave them another try and I'm glad I did.

They had a nice crowd in there when I left and the band hadn't even arrived yet.

We orderd a pizza for lunch today. The supreme. We asked for pineapple instead of mushrooms. What we got was a pizza that was not cooked all the way, with mushrooms, and no pineapple.

We called and complained, but we were not going to drive all the way back there, we are trying to save on our gas. We were very dissapointed in the pizza.

I've had many pizzas there and I think what you experienced is the exception rather than the rule. I've not had a pie undercooked nor with the wrong toppings and I've had dozens of them.

I would bet that they would probably give you a pizza to make up for your experience. So you don't use gas money perhaps you can pick it up when passing through PJ on the way home.

Same here JTF. Always find their Pizza very good. I would bring it to Floyd and Marty's attention. I'm sure they will make it right for you.

Agree.

We've ordered pizza there many times, both inside and take out. We did have one take out order where the pizza was a bit overcooked, but they offered to make a new one when I picked it up. I didn't have time for that, and it didn't look too bad, so took it. It still tasted great!

Bottom line is every time I pick up a take out from them, they open the box and show it to me. So part of it is on me to make sure the order is correct, and if it's not, they'll fix it.
