We went to the Red Rooster for breakfast often. We were very sad to see it torn down.

Loved the Rooster. Loved working for Jack and Mary too. I miss the cable car.

I miss Sky Village. We used to eat breakfast there quite often. Also miss Sully's in Aspen Park (before KS was built) that served breakfast. He moved his restaurant to Bailey, and the last time I saw him he was working at El Rancho before it closed.

Mad Jack's Mtn Brewery in Bailey will be having a food truck from Friday lunch to Sunday dinner this weekend. Saucy Buns is great and they will be offering food that is fresh and affordable and have vegetarian options. Come on out and have a beer and some amazing food!

I like to support all of our local businesses, but I guess some people don't agree...

HA! That is funny! Even the local cops know better...never see their vehicles at Rustic...just saying. Btw, crow hill cafe turkey day pies were awesome and made for family time conversation about this special little gem in Bailey that serves authentic, delicious home cooked goodness. Not to mention the staff is friendly and family like. And you'll never get a dirty dish like at other places, their dishwasher guy rocks!

Had another meal at Crossroads today, that's two in a row that I enjoyed.

So far the change in ownership seems to be working ...

I thought Crossroads was horrible and we had a party of 5 there on Friday. Every person in our group had issue with their food. The menu change is not great, their philly cheese steak sandwich was filled with dry and even some hard pieces of meat (nasty), and their fries were over cooked, yet cold. I saw a guy walking out of there so drunk and stumbling, he fell off the curb and face planted onto the cement in front. Why serve anyone to this point of intoxication, even if he he were to have a ride home.

I'm sorry to see the White Fence Farm is closing. We like going there a couple of times a year or so, not for all the extraneous activities but just because we enjoy a decent family-style restaurant. The chicken was just OK; what really attracted us were the all-you-can-eat side dishes … and it's one of the few places in Colorado that you can find hush puppies. We will miss it.

It will be missed. Was one of the first places our family went when we came to Colorado.

It will be missed in nostalgia only. The food wasn't very good. It didn't even hit the price point to value mark. Service was marginal. Sometimes, its just time to close the doors. Sorry, I won't miss it one bit. Maybe Bonnie Brae Tavern will follow suit.

Hadn't been there in many years...so yes, nostalgia.
