Went to Aspen Perk with a friend for breakfast yesterday and was very pleased. Great place and great food, so I will definitely be going back. Since I tested it out, it will definitely pass for my extremely fussy DH, so will bring him next time :)
My friend told me they are open for dinner now. I don't know the details, but when I saw liquor in the window it made more sense that they serve dinner :)

Tried it twice, won't go a third time. Poor service and food straight off the Sysco truck.

I went to Aspen Perk for breakfast last Sunday. The food and service are consistently good. I was disappointed they have TVs now and a bar area. With music playing in the sit down area, and the TVs going, it was too much stimulation. I could do without the TVs.

I had a similar experience at lunch time. I know some enjoy music, I enjoy quiet so that is a personal preferance. However, it was hard to hear conversation well with the music. Maybe it could be lower? The food was fine.

Thanks - we will have to avoid it because we just can't have a conversation with all the different sounds. Too bad :( My personal preference is quiet as well chakraz.

We went the other day and I thought it was great!!!!!

I got the fried chicken (by far the best in the hills) hubby got the chicken fried steak it was huge and very good.

When we were in there the TV's were on close caption music was playing but not too loud. Service was exceptional every time my tea was getting low it was filled and guess what we were not charged for refill's like we have been in another place.

We will be back they have great drink specials during the Bronco games and they will also have food specials.

Restrooms were also very clean there are a few place up here that can't seem to get that one right.

Usually enjoy the food and the service but lately..... adding a dollar because I want Swiss cheese instead of American, saying Swiss is more expensive? I got that, and yet, charge another $1 when I want American instead of Swiss? Another $1 for coleslaw instead of fries? And vice versa. The kicker was asking for a side of Hollandaise on a Saturday about 11:15 and they couldn't because the woman who makes Hollandaise left for the day and there was no more. Yet, they'll serve it with the Eggs Benedict. (They did have it, just not for sides, which I would gladly pay extra for. We all know it's not real hollandaise.)

The "rules" here are too petty and not stated on the menu. It makes a pleasant dining experience distasteful, especially when you don't know about the extra charges until you get the check. I will be back, but less often.

I was going to let my Tuesday lunch experience go, but after reading mommyp's comments, I changed my mind. I ordered 1/2 sandwich and soup ($8), and the waitress suggested I get some kind of grilled cheese that came with soup. The soup was excellent, but the grilled cheese came with bacon, which I don't eat, and the price ended up being $12. I thought, $12 for a grilled cheese and cup of soup? When I got the check, I asked her about it, and she said that was what I chose. Oh well.
