Thank you for sharing! I love the Moose; they are such majestic animals.

On the way to work Wednesday, was on HWY 73 just before the bus barn, thought I saw something by Centar Farms, I had to stop and make a U turn, sure enough a moose was munching on branches, as I pulled off the road to maybe get a picture he headed back towards the woods. I have seen numerous elk and deer around that area but, never a moose.
I work with the guy who lives there, asked him about it at work that morning, he said it's the first time he has ever seen a moose there.

Thanks for posting the picture!

They are enormous animals, aren't they? About the size of a horse?

i've never seen a horse as large as a moose (clydesdales?)
my friend in alaska has a 6 foot fence around her pea garden and once when i was there i got a pic of a moose standing on the other side of the fence - i saw all of him above the top of the fence, except his legs -
6 foot legs?

on wikipedia, it states that the alaskan moose is the largest of all sub-species - the shiras moose is what we have here in colo and it is the smallest of all the subspecies - (i didn't know that either!) but even the smallest adult moose is larger than the largest deer - even elk - only bison are larger (as an average)
