My daughter just got an aquarium for her birthday and we need to buy fish for it. Is there a place up here that sells fish?

Thanks!!

There is not. But there are several good ones down the hill.
There is also a great FB group if you do FB that help troubleshoot and give great information for all levels of aquarium keepers.
I’ll pull up a few places and the link to the group and post again.
And you are going to need to run the aquarium empty and add biological agents and get ph etc established before adding fish. ( in case you didn’t know, common beginner error)

About Fish Inc and Golden Fish Aquarium are highly recommended

Search Facebook for 285 Fish Keepers
It’s very informative and fantastic photos for inspiration.
There’s mostly grownups there so there is “adult” language and humor.

Good luck to your daughter with her new hobby!

I only go to see Julie at Golden Fish on Colfax. She keeps an amazingly healthy and clean store. All tanks are always clean and full and stocked.

if you are in Conifer, you can get some "existing/in use" filter media from me to help your tank cycle - DO NOT BUY a BUNCH OF FISH before you cycle it or they will all die on you as levels go sky high as tank settles in. helping your tank develop the good bacteria is easier if you get it seeded with bacteria from an existing tank. Please research and learn before you begin (if this is new to you). PM me if you would like to do this :)
