Make sure that you don't stuff the trash into an old First Class 5x7 envelope WITH YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS ON IT!!

Found this over my 7' fence just now. I live right off 72 and my fence buts up against the highway. NEVER had anyone every do this before. I have 2 dogs, one is old and very sick right now. She just wants to lay out in the yard in the sun and warm herself and be a happy lil' Husky pup. This was perhaps thrown out of a car or a passerby with a lot of velocity; it missed her by about 6". Thankfully there was no food in it - I don't need her eating garbage.

I am not a happy camper. I think it's really rude and just plain stupid to throw your car trash over someone's fence, but what really gets me is my Heidi - she is not well and if that parcel had any old food or anything else in that would have been appetizing to a 55 lb Husky (if you have dogs, you know they eat ANYTHING and EVEYTHING), she would have been very sick. She has some serious gastrointestinal issues and that would have made it much, much worse. Grrrr....

But yeah, make sure when you throw your trash into someone's yard, you might want to take the mailing label off your old mail.

Take it to their house and leave it on their doorstep!

I have very, very seriously considered that option.

I am seeing more and more of this disrespect and foul behavior. My parents showed us to bundle up any trash and take back home. Leave the area like you found it. National Geographic had a picture of 3 men dressed so nice in new suits & shoes that they saved up for yet the street they were standing in was covered in trash as were the areas in front of buildings. I guess everyone was used to it? I hope we never get that bad but I see alot of trash tossed for someone else to pick up. Love the cans, liquor bottles and wrappers by my home. :bash:

Glad your dog is OK. One other option is to report it to LE as littering. They will follow up.

As much as I really want to confront this person(s), I think that is not a smart move. Or mailing it back to them - I thought of that too. They live up here, what were they thinking?! So I called the SO & will file a report. Good idea @watermanofevergreen - didn't know that. @chakraz - thank you, she is just so precious to me. And you're right, it seems like ppl are just so disrespectful.

I had a Golden who was very sick and seemed to spooke easily as the end. Your fur babay does not need idiots (being polite) throwing stuff over the fence. Unfortunately I had to euthinze my fur baby last week. I hope your fur baby is feeling better and gets well soon...

I'd follow waterman's advice.

A few years ago I had to deal with a similar incident. I went to collect my emptied trash can on trash day only to discover it had been refilled! I put on some gloves and found discarded mail featuring the address of the folks who felt they could use my paid-for trash service for free. :bash:
I notified PCSO, spoke with a deputy & gave him the items with the proper address. The deputy cheerfully returned all items to the offenders and let them know I would be happy to press charges for "theft of services" should they try it again. They never did.

Unfortunately, I never found a solution for the empty beer bottles, not-so-empty diapers and misc trash found frequently at the end of our driveway. We lived on Crow Hill with a wide pullout along 285 at the end of the driveway. I'm sure both locals & passing tourists added to the problem.
