My husband has an appt. in Lafayette tomorrow and am looking for an easy way to get there. I went to the library and printed out some mapquest maps and directions, but they don't make a lot of sense. Guess I need GPS or something Thanks for reading this!

According to Google maps...

Quote:
Follow US Hwy 285 N to CO-391 N in Lakewood. Take the CO-391/Kipling St S exit from US Hwy 285 N
35 min (31.4 mi)

Get on US-6 E in Lakewood
9 min (5.4 mi)

Continue on US-6 E. Take I-25 N, US-36 W and US-287 N to S Public Rd in Boulder County
29 min (26.3 mi)

Follow S Public Rd to Banneks in Lafayette

It says about an 1hr 30 mins

I hope that helps.

Library? You're posting here, so you have a computer of some kind. Google Maps. Put in your start and end points and get directions. A lot easier than a trip to the library or asking other people for directions.

Thanks all! A friend who lives in Westminster said there would be the least traffic on Hwy. 93. I think I figured it out.

I will suggest going 285 to Wadsworth and going straight north, especially if you need to get to the Rock Creek Hospital/Kaiser Clinic. Otherwise you are going way east to go west. Wads is a straight shot and faster than messing with all the freeways. The hospital is right off of Wads. I’m off North Turkey Ck 285 and this takes me maybe an hr 15 mins. Drive safely!

I would second 93. It's pretty, too.

I agree with mummydog going up Wadsworth! It is a nice drive that way! Use to go to Laramie for New Years that way and it was always nice to go through the small towns and see there decorations for xmas!

If you're going to take Wadsworth then you could consider getting on at I70 and Wadsworth unless you're in a real high traffic time.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! He made it! Ended up taking I-70 to Wadsworth and then north. I learn so much from people sharing their personal routes around town, even though I've lived here 35 years and worked in five counties.
