Stopped being gouged in Bailey or Conifer, it's been 2.51 at the King Soopers in Golden for a few weeks. Can't help the locals if they're screwing me.

Conifer/Bailey gas stations are helping out on global warming by encouraging people to use less gas.

The Safeway at Mineral and Broadway is $2.19 for 85. Isn't that about $0.50/gal more than Conifer Safeway?

No - that is about $0.50 LESS! The price spread between here and down the hill has never been this great (over 20%!)

Yep, my mistake.

I filled up at the Sheridan King Soopers yesterday - $2.48 for 87 octane. In all the years I've lived up here I don't remember such a difference in prices.

In our United States, if you don't like one provider of a service or goods do business with another. If a business has higher prices than competitors, shop elsewhere and eventually the higher prices will be forced down.

Or we could all move to Cuba and we wouldn't have to worry about the distress of having to make our own decisions.

I got fuel today at Costo in Arvada for $2.00 (ok, $2.099). At a little over 30 gallons it saved me around $19.00 compared to some of the high prices I saw in Evergreen a few minutes ago. That savings was a bit shy of paying for the brisket I got at Costco for the smoker this weekend.
