Those who didn't come yesterday are out there this morning. :(

Anybody remember 285 as a two lane damaged road that nobody wanted to drive on? Those were the days.

I think of it every time someone complains about 285. Add in that every evening during rush hour there would be a slow Safeway truck going up the hill for us all to follow.

Aspen--Wow, no kidding--those WEREN't the days! I'm so glad they flattened out Windy Point, I almost slid off there a million times. The ride has gotten much smoother and faster, but the places beyond Richmond Hill where the hiway narrows are pretty dangerous still and need more turn lanes...
Daisy--I thought the bus would be faster in those days but it went the same speed as traffic or even slower. I remember a new bus driver who went slower...slower..slower until everyone yelled "SHIFT!!!!!" Kinda funny.

I remember driving through 285 back in the 70's when going to college at CU. We went down to Monarch often. Then more in the early 80's when I moved to Denver metro and went to Monarch and the family house in Gunnison on the weekends. Saw many changes over the years and never dreamed I would be living here now. What a huge change in traffic from the old days.
