1. Yahoo! is an acronym for "Yet Another Hiearchical Officious Oracle." David Filo and Jerry Yang were in a trailer in Palo Alto, Calif., thinking of a name for their hobby.

2. The number one song used as in prison questioning is Barny's opening theme song, "I love you". Interrogators refer to it as "the futility song" because it convinces prisoners that their silence is pointless. After listening to it over and over, detainees start to feel that life is meaningless and give up.

3. When Krakatoa initially exploded in August of 1883, it caused a pressure wave that circled the globe seven times, as recorded by the Royal Society in London, England.

I typed in elephant knees in a search engine (it offered 'how many') and the results were both - some sites said two, the front joint that appears to be 'knees' are actually the wrists
and other sites said 4

I think it would depend on how scientific you get -

Fact #8 - The most often played song to wake astronauts up in space was the theme from Magnum P I.

Other top ten songs include:

Rocket Man (Elton John)
Who Let the Dogs Out (Baha Men)
The Sound of Music (Julie Andrews)
Great Balls of Fire (Jerry Lee Lewis)

I'd be OK with Alex.

My brain has been rusting up, so I've been on the "Mental Floss" site.
