I left my home in Bailey with the sun shining and pretty good weather other than some cold. The trees were still a little frosted when I left, but many had melted. Soon as I hit the canyon, it was like another world. It was beautiful, Longtimebailey and Mirsh. I did get some photos, but probably not what you were expecting longtimebailey, because they are just driving photos with a cell phone. No sun in Lakewood at all, at least while I was there, it was colder and all clouds. So crazy this weather today.

i agree. i'm in the nannerbelt of bailey, and we had frosted trees this morning too. but to drive north/downhill and see the TOTALLY whited trees etc, really nice. and even tho it was just wet roads in lakewood today, traffic was crawling, and i atchly skated into my office thru the parking lot. kinda smirky, since i was wearing sunglasses when i started out! just luv the weather here - good or bad!!

My wife and I saw it, too. She called the Enchanted Forest. I thought it looked like Rivendell.
I love the way the mountains change their appearance throughout the year. _________________ The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness. - John of the Mountains: The Unpublished Journals of John Muir, (1938), page 313. |
