I came back from Lakewood this afternoon and Turkey Creek Canyon was just beautiful! I've never seen anything like it, with the frosted trees contrasting with the rock colors. The trees along the creek were whiter than the pines behind them. Sorry I didn't have my camera, but will always remember this trip. What a gorgeous drive!

I left my home in Bailey with the sun shining and pretty good weather other than some cold. The trees were still a little frosted when I left, but many had melted. Soon as I hit the canyon, it was like another world. It was beautiful, Longtimebailey and Mirsh. I did get some photos, but probably not what you were expecting longtimebailey, because they are just driving photos with a cell phone. No sun in Lakewood at all, at least while I was there, it was colder and all clouds. So crazy this weather today.

i agree. i'm in the nannerbelt of bailey, and we had frosted trees this morning too. but to drive north/downhill and see the TOTALLY whited trees etc, really nice. and even tho it was just wet roads in lakewood today, traffic was crawling, and i atchly skated into my office thru the parking lot. kinda smirky, since i was wearing sunglasses when i started out! just luv the weather here - good or bad!!

My wife and I saw it, too. She called the Enchanted Forest. I thought it looked like Rivendell.

I love the way the mountains change their appearance throughout the year.
