Wxgeek, do you think the forecast is right, starting rain tonight and through the weekend? Checked on Durango, Laramie and Montrose and they have same forecast. I really, really hope so. You are usually right so I’m hoping you agree with the forecast :)

Southwest CO should receive from 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain from this afternoon through Monday morning. Heaviest rain for SW Colorado will be on Saturday, while our area rain will be heaviest on Sunday. Foothill areas could see up to 3 inches of rain from this weekend into early next week. The only downside will be lightning strikes from thunderstorms, but hopefully there will be enough rain to limit new starts.

Just got 0.69 inches of rain (according to my rain gauge) in about 15 minutes here in the Lionshead area. That ought to knock down the fire danger some. Thank you Lord. :)
