Seeing lot of smoke between Hayman burn and 285.
Rolling off peak so thinking not a controlled burn.
Heard thunder but can't say if it was a strike in that area.
Could it be Riley Peak?

I’m in Conifer in a neighborhood just above the yellow barn and I see smoke south in that same direction.

Channel 7 had a hazy pic … but no identification of where it was taken, other than "Conifer area".

The fire on Wamblee Trail is called the Eagle Fire, there’s a second small spot fire 100yd away. Ordering a Type 2A air support to assist. Evacuating.

There is now an official evacuation order for Wamblee Trail. (Scanner forum hasn't reported this yet)

Winds seem to be blowing to the east, and the spotter plane above our house is making circles further eastward.

I am so grateful for the firefighters/volunteer efforts for this fire, and the other recent fire near Pleasant Park Rd. and Silver Ranch. After living here 29 years, these are the closest fires I'm aware of. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS!
