Looks like it's east/northeast of Hilldale Pines. Keeping my fingers crossed that no new fires start. The fire fighters are already stressed enough. Pray for a safe holiday.

Yep, some light rain in Pleasant Park too, I hope it's enough moisture to prevent anything bad. Keep your peepers out for smoke!

Sure would be nice if there was some rain with this storm I'm watching East of Pine Junction... Skies above me are clear, but non-stop lightning... This is turning into a terrifying season...c'mon monsoon.

I agree! I was hoping for rain last night, too. I hope that was just cloud lightening, but I do not know.

That lightning scared me also, JJ. It was too far away from me to tell if there were any cloud-to-ground strikes, all I could see were the reflections in the clouds. But it was very unsettling.

Bizarre! At my neck of Hilldale, the top of one of the ridges, we had no rain at all, and just a little thunder. It's incredible how different whether can be here vs even my neighbors around the corner who are more protected up against the hill, or those towards the bottom of the hill. We get more snow (an inch or two), but they have a lot more Deer and Elk, too.
