The smoke is awful here in Pueblo! The Spring Fire is awfully close and every evening the winds blow the smoke right over the city. It's terrible.

Here's the smoke prediction from a couple days ago, before the Spring Fire blew up to 78,000 acres, yesterday.

The Spring Fire:
Quote:
It is now listed at 94,093 acres, and it is one of the largest wildfires in recorded state history.....

The fire is burning in Costilla County and Huerfano County. It has destroyed 104 homes plus the outdoor concert stage used by the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad.

As of 40 minutes ago:

This fire is the source of our smoke here in Pueblo and it is fast approaching the size of Hayman!

Here's a more recent smoke report:

Edit to Add: Oops, DL, we cross posted. It's 94,000?! It just keeps growing by staggering amounts.

Yes, and it's exploding as we speak. National Guard has been called in.
