ok, after shutting down my school for the nite i NEED to shut down utube for the nite! what an awesome group! and bono?! i recognize a name even! i'll be contacting my friend from ghana. i've never heard of the town of tamale during my mining industry day contacts, but it has several citizens participating in the performances. if not already, i bet playing for change will have a new follower!
and it's also been humbling. i was surprised at the technology available in 3rd world countries. apparently i've been 3rd world-developed in thinking - desire has no bounds! to see the engagement of the myriad cultures involved in playing for change has been inspiring, to say the least. again - i hope to run into an event during my travels! and hhmmmm, i wonder if there is room for an accordion? i'll need to check out their website! thx again, bobcat & scalawag! |
