Of the things I miss about living in Bailey, traffic is NOT one of them. We have to drive over 100 miles to get into anything remotely considered "heavy" traffic. Biggest issue here is dealing with people who think a speed limit sign that says "65" actually means "50" or, if you're really lucky, "55".

Ah, a nice quiet drive on tranquil US285, not like that nasty I70.

what is the record for back up? this may surely qualify. It usually starts just before Richmond Hill (two miles further up than this pic). I live in Green Valley Ranch (the neighborhood right at Richmond Hill)

Several years ago, on the eve of the fourth of July, it backed up almost to Windy Point. That is the worst I have ever seen it.

No. It was after they completed the widening to Richmond Hill.

Yesterday I drove home from Missouri, that traffic added at least an hour to my journey.

Not helped by the drivers using the old Conifer road and even the old Safeway Center parking lot as a rat run.

And now past the old Safeway. Makes me wonder if Amanda Kesting, the author of the original article, is out for a drive.

Ahhhh The "285 RV anc Boat show" at its finest... :coffee screen:

I came back from Evergreen yesterday about 4:00 PM, from running errands, and from the looks of it, the traffic was already back up to about Safeway....
