Ridge is only a few days out, but she's managing to walk to the corner and back!

Getting to go out on such a lovely day makes getting better even easier!

Thanks guys. 'Course the real entertainment would have been watching Rova get me into all that gear so I could go outside :). She's such a sweetie.

We're thinking it might not be such a good idea to show that photo to the neurosurgeon until after I get a clean bill of health ... he's one of those ivy league city slicker types that probably doesn't understand our "gym" has trees in it???!!! :)

Actually, Mylz, no staples, no stitches. He used glue (feels kinda weird but much more comfortable and the incisions are already starting to itch a bit from healing!

Glue?
Would that be Elmers or "Crazy"???
:silly:
Lemme guess!
SO glad you're upright!
Heal quickly, enjoy the meds, & be careful in your forested "gym"!
(What a show off you are! How you gonna convince the folks at work that you're outta commission?)

It's easy to tell that some folks here have seen their perspective changed as the years stack up:

Used to be, one would go looking to score "good drugs."
Nowadays, the doc prescribes more than one can stand. . .

Used to be, one looked forward to "getting laid."
Nowadays one looks forward to a nap.

Used to be, a good start on the day was cold pizza and stale beer.
Nowadays, that "good start" is a comfortable and generous BM.

I'm not surprised "potty scheduling" humor showed up - neither she nor I can even remotely be mistaken for "snow bunnies" anymore!

Actually, medical grade incision glue has been around for a while. Quite effective too.

I don't even know you, but I'm real glad you're doing well!

FWIW, craftsmen I know who work with extremely sharp cutting devices and frequently injure their fingers use ACC/superglue to close wounds. It works best with clean cuts -- wash the cut well, close it firmly put a smear of glue on the outside and hold closed until the glue cures.

Need to be careful not to get glue IN the wound, or to glue all your fingers together while doing it, but it makes for amazingly clean healing with less scarring. Damp skin actually helps the glue set up faster.

Good to see you up and moving Ridge!

The Irishman was lifting something heavy at work on Monday, and before you know it, I was getting a call from a co-worker that the paramedics were loading him on a gurney for a ride to the new hospital. His back cracked and popped and he went down and couldn't get up. We are on our way to our favorite orthopedist this afternoon to see if he blew out a disk, or just strained something. He had 2 disks on his neck fused a couple of years ago, so the surgeon knows him really, really well.
