Our Boys and Girls Painting Book (1st Edition 1906) - $75 - This Our Boys and Girls Painting Book appears to have been a Christmas gift for a child on December 25, 1906, according to the handwritten pencil date inside the front cover. Even though this book is 111 years old, its condition remains quite good and its colors and illustrations are just lovely. The book was "A Playbook for Children, yet a Complete Course in Drawing and Painting." As such, it covers a broad range of topics--Lines/Shapes, Silhouettes, Pen/Ink Drawing, Cartoon Drawing, Pencil Studies, Fruit/Flower Drawing, Head/Hand Drawing, Landscapes, and more. The book measures 10 1/2" by 8" and is over 1" thick. I have only captured a few pages of this book, so my photos simply do not do justice to this book--it is a real find for the serious collector! Please contact me with any questions--thanks.
