Anyone know of trails in the area that are groomed for cross country skiing?

Frisco Nordic Center used to be great but not sure if it is still there...haven't been in many years.

Pretty much all the ski areas have groomed Nordic trails, and an area just north of Winter Park has a large Nordic track area. I prefer to stay on Forest roads and trails closer to the area that can be quite nice when we have enough snow and the dogs can join us.

my husband is a big time cross country skier. He used to groom his own tracks when he lived in Oregon. He really likes

My wife & I went to the BOERA (Platte Canyon) property at 599 Rosalie Rd., Bailey, CO 80421 last Monday Dec. 19th! The snow was really pretty good for un-groomed trails and I'd highly recommend using this property for X-country skiing or even snow shoeing. Obviously the amount of snow dictates your experience. There had already been others that had paved the way for us and if you stay on the North side of the Mt. you are guaranteed a good time. The challenge was making the switchbacks to the crest on the North side. The trails that are more in the woods on the West side of the Mt. were problematic due to the fact that the wind exposes the ground in that area. The more folks that use and share this property during the winter will make for an even finer experience. Probably wouldn't take much to connect with BOERA after the next snow storm and have a couple of snowmobiles groom some of the more accessible trails. I'd recommend studying your trail guide or map prior to your adventure. I had just ran the Turkey Trot and am avid disc golfer, so I knew the lay of the land well.

My understanding is that a family can purchase a season pass for use of this property for $70 for the year. Check out their facebook page as follows:
