Welcome!

This is a wonderful place to live. Yes there is lots to learn about the mountain lifestyle, wildlife, etc. but that's part of the adventure.

Enjoy!

I agree: Bailey is Bailey and Conifer is Conifer. Hopefully we can all celebrate their differences!
I think the entire 285 corridor from Morrison to Buena Vista is delightful!

Welcome to Bailifer (that what we call Bailey and Conifer combined  ).

Only the folks in Conifer do that. Those of us in Bailey would rather not be associated with Conifer. ;)

Otherwise, welcome to the neighborhood.

I have lived in Conifer for 15 years and have never heard that. I think AL is just making [fecal matter] up. :rof laughing:

I learned that term right here on Pinecam. An even better one is "Tellurayton" referring to the three close towns in the San Juans, Telluride, Ouray and Silverton.

I just did a search and damn you are right. Well, anyway, I have never thought of Bailey and Conifer as part of the same town

I don't think that counts. Just because one poster jokes about Pine Junction over 10 years ago. :No way:

I agree, welcome and heres a way to keep safe and give peace of mind during fire season, which can be year round, sign up for Code Red Alerts in the county you live in, emergency alerts go to the phones you list be they land lines or cell phones.

Welcome Steve & Mary Anne to our beautiful part of the state! You're going to love seeing the wildlife on your property. Life in the mountains is an adjustment and as long as you know you have to prepare and adapt, you will do fine!

There is no such city or town of "Conifer"
"Conifer" is only an "Area", and there happens
to be a named Zip Code in that "Area"

Anyway the 'Zip Code' of "Conifer" is in Jefferson County
The City (and Zip Code) of "Bailey" is (far away) in Park County

There even happens to be another pesky Zip Code (Pine)
between the "Conifer" Zip Code/area and the Bailey Zip Code
and city

People in Jefferson County can only wish that they lived
on the other side of that darn stoplight......................

You are correct, although for purposes of this conversation, it is irrelevant
"Bailey" is a - call it what you want - city/town,community,

But Conifer as a city/town/community, does not exist
But either way, - there is that pesky stoplight again -
I am glad I live here, and not there............
