Hi I'm posting as SierraLady93. Have lived in Bailey area since 1978 with a few years off to finish my B.S. degree in science/journalism at the U. of Colorado in Boulder. I love this area of mountains, so many nice people! I love cats, horses, local geology and rock collecting, and all kinds of wildlife especially foxes, and my new puppy from Sloppy Kisses Animal Rescue in Wheat Ridge--a bouncing baby yellow lab/Jack Russell mix. What a sweetie!!! :multi:

Welcome sierralady93 to Pinecam. You sure live in the right area for your interests. Any pictures of your new puppy to share? Does s/he give you lots of "sloppy kisses"?

Tiller Bee--yes I get some sloppy kisses but she's more in the incessant chewing stage right now! Local geology/rock collecting fer sure.. there's a spot about 2 miles from my house with amazonite, golden book mica, purple fluorite, crystals of orthoclase and microcline, plates of smokey quartz crystals, clear quartz, brown garnets and even topaz! Want to go rock collecting sometime? Nothing super quality but really fun to find. In Como, gold ore!! Just need to know where to look.

if you have any pictures on your computer, you can upload them and share...
So to do this, hit reply, then select FULL EDITOR below edit box. There will now be an option to upload images and follow instructions. if that is too much of a pain to do, just email the images and I'll upload for you. angelasanders@q dot com

Aspenleaf--love your two quotes. I Have one on my fridge that's a bit similar: "it's always impossible until it's done." (Nelson Mandela)

Wily--I requested Sloppy Kisses to send one of Sheree's adoption photos to you. They have access to more than 3,300 dogs now up for adoption--a great selection of all breeds and mixes! Also, you can request that a dog be found within a certain # of miles so you can go visit its foster home. Since I don't have a car either, Stephanie brought two dogs to my home. I picked Sheree, who came vet approved, with all puppy shots and chipped in my name for $350. Older dogs are cheaper. They are a great org. to add to your on-line list. Based in Highlands Ranch, Littleton (I think I said Wheat Ridge, told you I have no brain!). Hope the photo gets to you--could you add it to my posting info??? Also, a great vet who comes to my house (she lives a few blocks from me) is Dr. Sheila Rice-Watkins at Crow Hill Vet Hospital. She helped my last dog who died of brain cancer about 6 months ago. I love my little companions, but they do suck up money!

If they need to send it to a person rather than mods (I'm not sure mods do that) in order to get it posted, feel free to use my address: aspenleaf@q.com .
