ok, wasn't sure. but..... it's irrelevant to affording 3 homes (according to PC assessors office), one over 600k.

I don't know anyone involved in this, especially the Gores. I do think it is somewhere between evil gossip and pure speculation for people to post their insinuations about how they afforded a home over $600k. I have no idea how they have that kind of money and I seriously doubt you do either.

I agree. I got a good inheritance from a relative and bought a house with a large down payment so it would not have made sense for my income to support the house that I bought however, because of the large down payment, the loan amount was manageable for my income.

This kind of speculation (+ evil and hurtful gossip) is not right bikesforothers and I completely agree with you.

I am no fan of the Gore's but they are decent people and no one deserves this.

It was not Gossip when Monte Gore was pad over $100,000.00 by Park County tax payers for leaving his last job he had working for us. Then the county for some reason needed to raise my property tax value by 20% again. It just doesn't make sense to me, no one deserves this.

Property taxes went up all over the state by that much - which has nothing to do with Park County.

I don't live there any longer so I really don't care.

plus, I think I'm going to wait to see the out come of the court hearings, lawsuits and all involved with the loss of Mr. Carrigan. I do not believe for one minute that Mr. Gore "resigned". Then one needs to read the whole CBI report from the tragedy of Emily Keyes and how Mr. Gore reacted through the whole scenario, and the shooting in Alma from 2004...

And since he was fired from the PCSO or "resigned" which makes it sound better, is he allowed to wear his PCSO uniform in advertising? He is not longer an officer for our County. To me wearing it seems like a smack in the face, he should be no kind of representation of the department after Officer Carrigan was killed.

I would think what he is going goes against the law. He is not employed by the Park County Sheriffs office, and wearing his uniform, would that not be the same as impersonating a officer of the law? Just asking. As for his house, maybe he has investments, maybe he got lucky over at blackhawk, who knows. assuming things is never a good idea

He makes his employment status very clear on his site. I really don't think it's bad or wrong to have one old picture of himself in dress uniform on his website. If it were illegal, many Americans would be in hot water. I have a picture of my father in uniform on my desk. He hasn't been in the military since the Korean war. I have pictures of my high school prom. My date was wearing his Marine Corp dress blues. Should I be expected to destroy those photos since he hasn't been in the military for many years now? I have pictures of former law enforcement officers I have known over the years wearing their uniforms. Is it illegal for me to put those pictures on my Facebook feed? I have pictures of myself in EMS uniform. I'm no longer in EMS. Would I be impersonating if I were to display one of those pictures?

If Mr. Gore were running around campaigning in a Park County SO uniform, that would be an entirely other matter. As far as I know, he hasn't worn the uniform since he and Park County SO parted ways. If we are going to criticize, let's find something more substantial, shall we?

If he is only using pictures I dont think that is an issue, like ridgewalker said, I to have many pics of me in uniform etc.
