There is a black dog running loose on Yellow Pine. It has been running loose for a long time now. It attacked our neighbors dog. It is now at the vets office. I just wanted to let others know encase you have a dog or even a child outside. This dog has chased people into their homes before. Please be careful.

Yes, they have been contacted several times. We did just see them drive up the road also. It is hard to see through all of the trees out there. We live in a pretty wooded area.

Another shining example of dogs living in their mountain paradise where they are allowed to roam free.

As I've said before, the dog will suffer the consequences of it's owners stupidity.

My sympathies are with the dog!

I have no problem with a dog roaming free when it can be nice. However, attacking another dog that was confined is not good. This same dog has had my 9 year old son pinned against a tree before. My son had just got off the bus and was riding his bike up the driveway. The dog came out of the woods and ran after him. Luckily I was watching out the window since I was waiting for him to get home. It is amazing how fast a mother can run when her child is in danger. I am concerned as to why this dog seems to be so viscous with out prompting. I wish we could figure out where he belongs.

I have a problem with any dog being allowed to roam free. The exceptions being if the dog is on their owners private property, ranch, etc. When dogs roam free, they become part of the food chain, risk getting killed by traffic or can cause traffic accidents, they can and will harass people, pets, livestock, wildlife and children as you have just described.

I don't understand what it is about this issue that seems to be so unclear to so many people? There are laws about dogs roaming "at large" in Park County.

Yes, maybe I should clarify roaming on your own property I have no problem with. This dog is not on its own property and is a HUGE problem.

The best way to describe the dog is black possibly a roti/lab mix or pit-bull/lab mix. Its tail curls up and over its back.

I'm sure beachrobin would add "little dog" to the Rainbow Bridge site.
