Know the symptoms.
Know the causes.

Immediate medical help is necessary!

Nine years ago we lost Spud to this illness.

My dog has IMHA. It is a very serious disease and can come on very suddenly. It is often fatal so you must act quickly.

I almost lost my Golden Retriever, Kodiak Bear (aka Kodi) to IMHA. I was traveling with him when he collapsed. I took him to two different vets in Kansas City. Both said he needed to be put down.

But I had the second vet call Doc Gurney & Dr Watson at Aspen Park Vet. They devised a plan to stabilize Kodi so I could get him back home. The odds were not in my favor.

Now 2.5 years later he is doing fantastic!! His 11th birthday is approaching but you'd never know it except for some grey around the muzzle. He is very healthy and happy!

He responded reasonably quickly to the remedies and steadily improved. But it took over a year to get his RBC to normal levels. Now he has been consistently stable for over a year. This was verified just yesterday at his quarterly check-up. Granted I give him 4 injections per day and will probably have to do that for the rest of his life. But I don't mind and neither does he.

Each morning he gets a shot of "moleculars" which have been tailored to him and a shot of a combo of B12, Vitamin K and a homeopathic remedy of cacoa. Then again in the evening. It only takes a minute and he never resists the process.

No prednisone or other toxic medicines for my beloved pooch!

If your dog ever develops symptoms of IMHA, act immediately and take your dog to Aspen Park Vets.

My deepest gratitude to Doc Gurney and Dr Watson for saving my beloved Kodi and returning him to excellent health.
