Both of our dogs have allergies so I am trying to find a food that they don't react to. One is a Boxer and the other is a mix, maybe Golden and Shiba Inu. Along with their dry, they get an equal amount of boiled hamberger, a little canned, and a couple spoons of plain yogurt.

We've tried:

Science Diet
Eagle Pack
Merrick Whole Earth Farms
Holistic Select
Blue Wilderness

What else could we try that you've had luck with?

I recommend going to Buster's and talking with Nancy about your particular situation. She is very knowledgeable.

It may help their systems if you just do one thing and one thing only for awhile. No add ins at all.

There you go! Simple can be best without complicated recipes. With a concoction of dry, wet, meat and processed dairy at once? might not be a coincidence that 2 entirely different dogs are both having reactions. Probably why the ranch dogs ate basic kibble and whatever they happened upon, living long lives w/o much human intervention. They also didn't lounge for hours on a sofa watching TV. Wait, not sure if I'm still talking about the dogs ;)

I agree just dry food and has to be mixed 1/2 and 1/2 when you change brands. At least Buster's does not carry anything with wheat or corn.

Buster’s is the greatest. We use Wholesomes grain free, which we purchase there.. They are so knowledgeable there. Good luck with the pups.

Also, this has been a terrible year for grass and weed related allergies. My old guy has been at Sano twice for horrible mucous eyes. Thanks to great care he is now fine. It may not be the food, just environmental. Take care!

Our dogs eat Natural Balance Limited Ingredients Diets. Our Akita has rheumatoid arthritis, and is on monthly medication, the doctor from VRCC recommended it.

These are great! I should have added that the canned food we've used has been the same as the dry. We will start tonight by eliminating the canned and yogurt.
