I just came across an old recipe for removing the smell of skunk spray. I haven't had to use it for a long time but it came from CSU Extension and it worked for us.
1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid soap (I think I used Dawn)
Mix together and apply to who or what was sprayed by the skunk.
The explanation was: Skunk essence is made of sulfur molecules.
The materials in this recipe, when mixed together, form an alkaline
peroxide that chemically changes the skunk essence into sulfonic
acid, an odorless chemical.
Don't know if that is why, but this formula worked here.
Tip: This formula will not work on the smell of grow house in your
