Hi There -

I am a volunteer working for IMHS on the upcoming Holiday Howl - a HUGE Fundraising Event on November 4, 2006, Mt. Vernon Country Club, 5:30 - 9:00. We are looking to talk to people who have adopted any pets from IMHS - it doesn't matter how long ago it was, or how old or young your pet is, or whether it's a dog or a cat or a rabbit or anything else for that matter.

We are putting together an Alumni Presentation for the Holiday Howl and want to talk to you and see how happy you and your pets are together. We would also love to have pictures of your pets and you with your pets.

Please post with any questions and PM me if you're interested.

If you need verification of this please call IMHS directly and they'll tell you this is for real. 303-838-2668 web: http://www.imhs.org

Thanks!

We adopted a wonderful and sweet cat 2 years ago. We named her Cloud and last month she vanished. We don't have many if any critters around our house so we sincerely think some one found her and decided too that she is sweet and affectionate so they kept her!

We adopted a wonderful black lab named "Bo" when we met him. His name is now Beauregard, still goes by "Beau". He is sweet, well behaved, friendly, good with our 3 other dogs and our 1 year old! In short, he's awesome and very happy![/img]

I adopted a gorgeous cat last December from IMHS. Kinda funny, SHE is the one who picked ME out!! LOL

She wasn't a kitten like we wanted, but I have to tell you, she is THE most loving cat I have ever had in my life!!! Her name from IMHS was Ashley, but since I have a relative with that name, it didn't sound right to me. I changed it to Kiki. She always wants up on my lap when I am at my computer desk and loves to sneak in bed with me!

Funny story: I took her for her first visit at the vet knowing already that she doesn't like other cats because she was traumatized from previous cat 'roommates'. When I got in the room, I let her out of the box. She saw a 'cat' on the front cover of a magazine in the wall rack and just hissed and growled!! The funniest thing I have ever experienced!

We are soo happy we got Kiki! :multi:

Well, we adopted April and Camri (now Cami) the end of March 2005. And we added Raincloud August of this year. The three kitties (well, 9, 8 and 4) are still working things out, but they are all great and loving.

If you need any more info, feel free to contact us.

I too am a volunteer with IMHS and have 2 alumni -- Scooter a Cocker Spaniel who found us a few years ago and wouldn't leave. Funny, no one claimed him either...

And our newest addition, Maui, but most of you know him as Sunny. He was the "shelter" cat for almost 18 months and we are so lucky to have him!

The Holiday Howl is fast approaching -- please send your stories and pictures to us so we can include you in our presentation.

We'd also love to see you at the Holiday Howl which will be at the Mount Vernon Country Club on November 4th! For details and/or tickets (1 - $55/2 - $100) please contact Amy at HapETails2U@aol.com or 303-526-2680.

Thank you,

Karin

We've been back home to Colorado for two years, have adopted 2 cats from IMHS..."Suzy"(IMHS name "Cuddles") has a forever home with us now, when her previous owner developed Alzeimeirs and had to relinquish her... Wiley, our resident "teenager", came to us as a 3 mo old
kitten (an anniversary present from my husband) and our grand dame "luckers", who is 18 years old (not a IMHS resident) is NOT a happy
cat to have a "teenager" in the house......but she tolerates the intruder.

WildDoc and I adopted a wonderful little cat from IMHS a few years back. They helped us when she became sick, allowing us to keep her :)

She is a funny cat, and acts like one of the dogs-- Running around the backyard chasing things. She is also a good exterminator-- whenever we call to her "Emma, bug!" she comes running and gobbles it up!

What great kitties! Thanks for sharing your pictures.

We invite the parents of these alumni to join us at the Holiday Howl so we can keep helping animals find their forever homes.
