Always tripping over the Smooth Collie. The Border-Lab just stalks me and the Pyr-WolfHound thinks I should just go to him! HA HA!

We do call the Smooth Collie a "Nut Bonker" he likes to get a bit personal at times!

They are great!

Our friends had a Dobie named Jessica. She always gave the Dobie hello: a nose up your behind!

I'm the Pied Piper
I've always been the Pied Piper
I will continue to be the Pied Piper

this includes dogs, cats, my bird and in a previous life other dogs, cats, goats, calves, and chickens when I walked in the pasture.

My bird even likes to shower with me and I always have a rapt audience at bathroom time. Either they love me to pieces or just want to gawk at what naked old people look like.

I don't know and I don't care...I love them all!

:jester:  :bunny: :dancing chicken: :dog: :cat: :vole: :elk dance: :bear: :horse:

:silly: (i also have an invisible sign that flashes over my head at all times that says 'all weirdos report here') Either I have a kind face or I look like a sucker

I have a cat now that follows me everywhere. I love it, especially in the morning - it doesn't seem as bad when you gotta drag yer butt outta bed if there is someone that is getting up with you. Both cats come make me get up and escort me out to their food, but Mojo then hangs with me the rest of the time, but he doesn't follow my husband around. He'll supervise him from time to time and go check on him, but he doesn't just stick with him like he does me.

so the question is, is it a connection between one human and one animal or does the animal just like to follow folks around?

I think it's the former...

I have two cats and a dog who all follow me everywhere. I call them my entourage. It's awfully cute but it would be nice if I could go to the bathroom by myself.

I used to have 2 cats that would follow me an entire block to the beach (Evanston, IL). No leashes, no calling, the idea of that perfect litter box must have been enough enticement. I had several people actually stop their cars and ask if the cats were mine and if they were being "walked". Not sure who was following who...This was not a one time deal, they did it routinely and only when I started heading out, they knew it was time for The Walk...

When I read this I cried! Brought back memories of my dad (who we lost in 05) and our cat "Watch Cat." Dad had a funny relationship with that cat...he wasn't really a self-professed "animal person."

That said - every day he'd go walk around the block...and there would be Watch Cat walking right alongside with him at his feet. No collar, no leash...just Dad and Watch Cat having a chat and a walk.
