SO MANY CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Our family also used to show our dogs, GSPs, we had a field trial and show champion who was so pretty.....
Also had a VERY bright & wonderful male whom we thought was a good-looking specimen until we saw him with the really good dogs! Oops, that funny looking dog was OURS!!
Please give your little winner an extra puppy treat for us!!

There are a lot of really good Sammy breeders in Colorado. For a list you can go to http://www.samoyed.org/SCA/breeders.htm. The Denver Samoyed Association is http://www.denversamoyed.org/ and the rescue site is http://www.denversamoyedrescue.org/. My boys happen to be out of Wisconsin, another Sammy hotspot.

Mine was from Galadriel Sams in Denver. I DO keep a pretty close eye on the Denver Rescue website, too. The time isn't "right" now (sorta have my hands full already  ), but the time is coming... :D

Again, congratulations!! You should post some photos here from the show!

I wish I had some, but if you want to see a ton of show photos of samoyeds go to www.mydogshowphotos.com. They are mostly tight movement shots, because that's what most dog show people want.

Samoyeds ARE the best dog breed out there. I love my guys so much! I miss my little buddies! I think when my husband and I get one of our own, we want a puppy or we'll consult the Sammy rescues. I wonder why it is that you never see them get very far in shows like Eukanuba and such. It always goes to the terrier or the poodle!

Follow the money. It takes a lot of money to campaign a dog. A lot of the top dogs you see are owned by wealthy individuals who can afford to spend 50K or more a year to have their dog shown every weekend.

I've had Sams since I was seven years old. The ladies we got our current dogs from are pretty hardcore in the showing world. Josh is such a beautiful dog, that wherever we go out people always remark about him. Padme is a cutie, too; and such a sweet charming girl! She was our discount pup because she has a heart condition that requires daily shots (and we later found out) her ears refuse to stand up and are constantly flopped over. ADORABLE. I guess the breeder was embarrassed to hear this, though, because she asked to see a picture of Padme all grown up, and she never wrote back. I'd appreciate any links to local Sammy people!

Amazing!! How long before you think he'll finish and get his official "Champion" title? Have you said how old he is??

It might be a year or two. He only needs his majors now and he will be a finished champion. He is 5 years old.
