I took Enbrel for about 8 months and then had to switch to Humira because it stopped working as well. Had to switch from Humira to Simponi for the same reason. Never had any problems with Enbrel other than it quit working. While it was working I think I liked the Enbrel the best.

One thing I wanted to make sure you are taking advantage of is the copay assistance (Enbrel Assist I think) that Enbrel offers. Most all the biologic drug manufacturers offer copay assistance which cuts my monthly copayment from $250 to either $5 or $10. A big help!

Good luck!

Thanks birdman - I am in the Enbrel co-pay program and what a life saver! I pay only $10/month for a med that costs thousands each month - really appreciate it too!

An update to this. Enbrel stopped working after a couple of years. Doc switched to Humira and IT stopped working as well - ugh. LOL

Now I've been on Stelara for a year and so far................so good.

I hope all is well for everyone else - it's nice to have something to ease the symptoms and pain.

Hope the new meds help. I've been taking Enbrel for around 16 years now, combined with a little methotrexate.
