AFTER years of dealing with pain in my left shoulder, I have finally gotten the nerve to look into options for repair. I was going to call Dr Seeman in Golden, but he's not in my insurance provider list :(

so, I am looking for first hand experience with shoulder/rotator cuff surgery.

I had my rotator cuff surgery done by Advanced Orthopedics, DR James Ferrari. He did a great job, and I am completely back to normal. He cut me loose from his care a couple months early as I recovered so quickly. Got to do physical therapy religiously.

Since they're both at the same practice they might work with the same insurance companies, but I'd recommend seeing if Dr. Gottlob at Panorama is on your list. He's an excellent surgeon and a super nice guy, too.

I had dr Johnson at panorama in golden

he's awesome and excellent bedside manners

the rehab is top notch at panorama too

I highly recommend follow up massage therapy with someone who has also had the surgery as they know what's needed

and if you do use panorama, they have you purchase a little cooler that electrically produces cold for follow up therapy - I have one you could use to save the $

I also used an excellent cold pack that goes from the freezer into a shoulder harness to hold it in place - I could look up that info and send it to you if you want -

My husband had shoulder surgery and I had ACL surgery done by Dr. Foulk at Panorama. We were both very happy with him and have had very good results.

Hi, As a nurse I put a lot of research into who to go to for any medical problems. My husband and I both have had shoulder surgery by Dr Hatzidakis at Western Orthopaedics. He uses an arthroscopic approach whenever possible and our rotator cuff/biceps tendon surgeries were both outpatient. He comes highly recommended by ortho nurses and anyone who has ever used him. His physcian's assistant, Dwayne, is also great for first visits and cortisone injections.I am still recovering from my surgery and it is a long, slow road and deligent physical therapy is a must! Good luck and speedy recovery!

lot's of physicians themselves go to Dr. Hatzidakis, I think in a nutshell that
says it all, trust. Hatzidaks @Western-ortho.com A friend of mine just had John Reister do
hers and it ddn't go so well. It is a long and slow recovery.

In some cases the proper physical therapy can provide relief without the need for surgery, try to explore that first. In other cases, PT doesn't work. I had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders, one because of a sudden traumatic injury the other because of numerous small injuries over the years.

thanks, Rak. I have gone the PT route without success. I have had success with PT on other parts that were in need of help (back/hips), but not in this case.

John Reister, Orthopedic Physicians of Colorado. Excellent. Former Army surgeon, so he's seen it all. The guy the other doctors go to. Every physician/surgeon I've spoken with said John is the best. He did my rotator cuff last summer and I have a great result. He watched my other shoulder and decided it didn't need surgery, so it seems to me he doesn't cut unnecessarily. There are several office locations. 303-789-2663. orthophysicians.com
