Yesterday morning, I went to put in my right contact and my eye looked like this:

Needless to say, I panicked. I called Eye Consultants of Colorado where I've been a patient of Dr. Morris for a while and spoke with Teresa. She recommended I take a picture of my eye and send it to their office. So I had my dear husband take a picture with my iPad and easily sent it to her. She called back - it's just a broken blood vessel, no big deal.

I really appreciated being able to send an image and getting back an answer so quickly (and just before the power outage). This saved me an unplanned trip to their office and probably some money.

Thank you Teresa and Dr. Morris for such great service.

Looks like a big deal! Great that the doctor replied before the power outage, saving you time, money, and from worry. Hope you are looking normal AND seeing normal soon. Are you wearing glasses until the eye recovers?

Thanks for the comment, kem-here. Yes, I am wearing my glasses. And I see just fine, my eye only looks weird but doesn't hurt. :)

Wow - it just looks as though it would be painful so glad that it's not! Dr Morris and his staff are top-notch!

I had that happen a few years ago. Felt like I was in a Stephen King book! Looks horrible, doesn't hurt, and usually starts fading away in a couple of days.

Have you had your blood pressure taken lately, TB? Just a thought...

Yes bassolegato, I do take my blood pressure every day and I don't think that was the cause. Probably meanness. :)

It is kinda weird though that an eye that looks that bad doesn't hurt but I'm glad it doesn't. Teresa said it could take a week or more to clear tup.

Naw! Couldn't be meanness! :)

I'm glad your BP is under control and most likely this was one of those rare, unexplained occurrences. The ex-EMT in me had to ask, though!
