We are looking to switch to a different pharmacy. Who do you use? What experiences (good or bad) have you had?

Many thanks!

I have used mail order for several years now. Express Scripts was very good. Using Humana now and good so far.

We were with Humana Part D and used mail order for recurring presciptions. But, if we needed a prescription like an antibiotic right away, we used King Soopers. Safeway is too slow, the lines long, and just takes too long even when a prescription is called in.

However, we just switched to Aetna Part D. Both King Soopers and Safeway are preferred pharmacies and have the same price as mail order. So we'll be switching our prescriptions probably to either Safeway, as we use our grocery rewards card there more, or King Soopers. Not sure which yet.

If you use Safeway, be sure to count your pills - we had less than the correct amount happen twice there over the years.

And if you are a Medicare Part D holder, be sure to check the prices and amount you would need to pay (if any) as these differ between Safeway and King Soopers. Sometimes one is cheaper than the other and sometimes this is reversed.

Check out a company called Blink Health ! I was able to purchase all of my elderly mothers prescriptions at a fraction of the cost, and they deliver! They can also arrange for pickup at your choice of pharmacy, great customer service, they helped me set up an account online, once it was done, I had my mothers Dr fax the prescription, and it was done. I got a 3 months supply of all 7 of her meds for less than a 1 month supply of 2 of her meds from her previous pharmacy! Amazing!!

Humana. Use Walmart home delivery. Really fast on refills. My refills seem to cost less than when we used KS under Rocky Mountain Health.

Check out COSTCO, you do not have to be a member & their online pharmacy is convenient. Their online prices (vs in store) are available online & sometimes their cash price is better than insurance.

Same here. :D

I've been using Express Scripts for about three years. Some of my meds are free of charge; others are reasonably priced and always cheaper than the local pharmacies.

I don't have routine prescriptions, but when I've occasionally needed an anti biotic or pain meds, I called around, Walmart was always cheapest and King Soopers did price matching.

I used mail order until I got tired of errors. I use KS because I can look 'em in the eye. I've had no problems there.
