Just reading this and quite disappointing. Colorado Natural Gas has to be the worst company I’ve ever done business with. Their billing sucks, the way they put their piping in sucks and their greed sucks even more.

Does anyone have an example of the corporate tax cuts ACTUALLY being passed to consumers? I haven't seen one since the tax overhaul. Perhaps we should connect the dots before blindly voting in 2018.

Most corporate tax cuts were NOT passed to consumers - but rather to stockholders and employees - which isn't a bad thing. I don't mind that CNG doesn't pass on savings to consumers...BUT... for them to SAY they will but DON'T is a problem. Also, if they are making more money based on tax cuts then they shouldn't be raising rates and thus indirectly saving the consumer money.

Can you provide a link to the source for determining CNG has the highest rate in the nation please?
I don't want to use the example letter without source documentation. Thanks.

Here are the rates I researched. I’m not sure if they are the highest in the nation. But they are the highest in their own company and Colorado.
Distribution. commodity. Upstream. Meter charge
Black Hills Eastern plains .2089. .3028. .2287. 10.89
West slope. .2477. .3223. .2837. 11.00
Northern Colorado (Greeley). .2477. .2324. .2116. 12.21
Arkansas River Basin. .2089. .3274. .1597. 10.11

Atmos energy. Not available. .29583. .1842. 0

Summit utilities of Maine. .884. 1.065. NA. 20.81
Same owner as CNG

Xcel Energy. They do not separate costs on the web sites total costs per therm vary from $.9743 to $1.09 meter fee $11.15
This covers most of the Major Colorado gas utilities

A comment to the PUC about CNGs rate increase.

I remember when they showed up in Bailey with their lower than propane bs,I told them to take their monopoly and shove it!, they got a lot of people to switch all of their appliances to natural gas ,so they were stuck with them, and that price increase was most likely part of a pre-established rate hike set years ago ,part of their long term profit schedule.

I do think that overall it has been less expensive than propane, It's their pricing, compared to other natural gas suppliers that seems exuberant.
