Mail Thefts Reach Massive Proportions in Jefferson County
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of over 500 pieces of mail in the past two days. These thefts have occurred in the south Evergreen area of Marshdale, Craigmont Estates, Evergreen Meadows and Marshdale East.

On Thursday, Nov. 6 more than 300 pieces of mail was discovered inside a truck that had been left along the roadside. This mail was from residents living in the Marshdale and Craigmont Estates and Evergreen Meadows subdivisions. Some of the mail had been opened and it is suspected that personnel information may have been inside.

Jeffco School Board Member Comatose, Unable To Be Sworn In
GOLDEN, Colo. -- The Jefferson County school board is trying to figure out what to do about a recently re-elected member who lies comatose in a hospital bed.

Karen Litz, 65, is one of two school board members who was supposed to be sworn in Thursday night. But Litz remains in a drug-induced coma after emergency surgery to repair two brain aneurisms.
