Jeffco Authorities Need Help Identifying Body Found In Shallow Grave
Jefferson county investigators have a 2-year-old mystery to solve and need the public's help.

A badly decomposed body was found Dec. 20 in a shallow grave near White Ranch Park, north of Golden. Investigators said they believe the unidentified man died almost two years ago. Full story

Morrison woman arrested with gun at airport
MORRISON - A Colorado woman has been arrested for trying to carry a loaded semi-automatic handgun onto an airplane.

Jeraldine Bieg, 62, of Morrison is out of jail on bond. She was arrested Saturday morning at the Orlando airport in Florida when security screeners found the gun in her carry on bag. Full story

Pine resident killed in 285 wreck
At approximately 6:00 PM on Dec. 26, a 59-year-old Pine, Colo. woman died in a single car crash on Colo. Hwy 285 near Kennedy Gulch Rd.

Linda Obernyer, 59, was killed when the 1995 Subaru she was driving southbound on Hwy 285 traveled off the left side of the road, through the center median and across the northbound lanes. The vehicle then went 125 feet down the embankment and collided with a tree before coming to rest. Obernyer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol or drugs are not suspected. The roads were dry and clear at the time of the crash. Official cause of death will be determined by the coroner.
