Scanner Home | FAQ | Frequencies FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1) "I can't hear anything on the scanner. What's wrong?" There may not be anything wrong. The Pinecam.com scanner monitors many frequencies, but many times there is just silence. This is a good thing in some cases. :) Just leave the scanner playing and make sure your volume is turned up. Eventually you will hear something...we promise. 2) "What frequencies does the scanner monitor?" The frequency list is constantly changing, especially when there is an emergency going on (like fires, floods, etc.). Click on the "Frequencies" link on the top of the page to see the current list. 3) "Can I request that a frequency be added?" Sure, no problem. Just email Kurt Boyer or instant message him at pinekurtboyer. Kurt will add your frequency as soon as possible, but please remember that the scanner is sitting in his house in Pine, and Kurt works in Golden during the days. 4) "The link to listen to the scanner doesn't work for me." You may not have installed Winamp yet. It is a small and free program that will allow you to hear streaming audio over the internet. Install Winamp and then click on the "Listen to the scanner now!" link. Winamp should then appear and it will load the audio stream.
