Hi Meadow Fire Time Line, June 12th
9:00 Well Driller working on a lot on Turkey Lane in Burland spots smoke plume in Deer Creek. 9:05 (approx) First 911 call received on the smoke.
10:10 (approx) Another resident calls 911 about the smoke from his residence on Lark Lane. He says it is about 700 feet below his property in Deer Creek. He's told firefighters are already on the scene and a slurry bomber is en route.
10:40 (approx) First fire unit arrives on the scene to size up the situation. Fire is burning in Deer Creek, below any access roads.
11:00 (approx) Fire "explodes," sweeping over first crew of firefighters. They are forced to take cover in a rock outcropping.
11:30-12:00 First home along Hi Meadow is lost to the out-of-control fire. Platte Canyon firefighters begin a defensive mode to protect other structures.

1:00 (approx) first slurry bomber drop. Mutual aid requested from other fire departments.

2:00 More homes lost in Burland. Additonal slurry bombers diverted from Bobcat Fire in Larimer County.

3:30 (approx) Fire sweeps over south end of Wandcrest subdivision

4:00 Fire continues to grow, out of control

5:00 (approx) Fire sweeps over Pine Valley Estates subdivision
