We enjoyed lunch at the Pig on Christmas eve. WOW! So good! I had the country fried steak and Rova had the ribs. Her ribs were so good we ordered a pound to go. We will definitely be back ... many, many times!

Unfortunately the day we went the smoker was down… No smoked meat or bbq available …. The menu has more than bbq meat so we tried out some other options. My partner wanted the Fish and chips anyways so that worked… comes with French fries, would be awesome if they could make crispy chips, not French fries, still awesome. I had my Gluten free Bun in my pocket, as I always do if we think we might try to find a Restaurant open in Bailey on any day of the week we are out and about. I’ve even made a file in my phone of all the places to eat from Pine Junction to Grant with days and hours so we can narrow down, depending on the day of the week where we can eat…. Lunch time can be a challenge sometimes. Anyways, back to the Smiling pig. Partner had the Fish, I had the special that day, Bison burger with fries. They heated up my GF bun nicely, the Bison burger was AWESOME nice thick and huge patty, cooked perfect. Even on a regular bun it would have been a nice big juicy burger. Over all, even though we couldn’t sample any meat off the BBQ it was a really good meal and experience. Fast friendly service from all, our server Lori was very attentive. We will be back!

Did take out today and the pulled pork sandwich was delicious with the fries!!! Highly recommend!

Glad most of you had a pleasant time but my wife spoils me and only because we got a gift card did we go.
The so-called pork was loaded with unrendered fat (they didn't have brisket) chicken fried steak was good but we went for BBQ. The sides were so-so for us. We do not eat out much and while we wish them well the former BBQ places at GreenValley and Conifer in our eyes were better for our taste. Hope they get the smoker thing figured out they seemed to use that as a crutch for why things were not the best. Service was great all were friendly and responsive. |
