Definitely happy dance, that is quite the tower of flowers. I have never seen them bloom either. Hope mine don't wait 20 years! Thank you for picts.

It’s beautiful. I had an old established one bloom a few times at my home in Bailey. I took cuttings of it as I’ve moved but they’ve never been in one place long enough yet to get this far. Thanks for sharing!

Yes pretty and exciting, but not necessarily good news.

They bloom only when they are ready to die.
They can die without blooming too of course. But a bloom means it is healthy, lives in a healthy environment and wants to spawn more "mother hens".

After the blooming "hen" dies, the chicks will fill up that space.

One or two of my hen rosettes will bloom every 3-5 years. But I'm rarely happy to see it.
