This year has been awesome for beautiful birds in my yard. I sound like a little kid or a newbie up here! I know several of you see these birds all the time. This morning was a treat. Two male and one female Western Tanager at the feeders at the came time. Also have had a pair or two of the Evening and black headed Grosbeaks. Just a few photos to share. Several others I’m still looking up the name of.

Western Tanagers are always exciting to see!!! We love all the Grosbeaks who visit, along with the Crossbills and many others. But the Tanagers always cause a happy dance around the feeder. :O) Thank you for sharing the photos. We can barely wait to see what other treats you identify!

For the last three mornings this turkey has been on the deck rail greeting us.

No, but I think the reason she keeps coming back is that I reassure her that we DO NOT eat turkey bacon.

HAPPY DANCE at the BGR house. A pair of brightly-colored Western Tanagers feeding on the suet this afternoon! I've practically worn my nose out watching for them at the windows. :O)

We are having W. tanagers, bl-headed grosbeaks, and red crossbills all at the feeder and water at the same time. What a show!
