Hi All,
On a road trip last weekend, I was listening to the George Brockler show, which I had never listened to before. During his three hours, he had a spokesperson ( and I did not catch her name) who was discussing the initiative to end late term abortion in Colorado, something that I had no idea even existed here. Full term pregnancy abortion option. We are one of only seven states with this option.
There were 137,600 signatures collected to get this on the November ballot but VBOUT 10,000 were struck from the list. The committee has been given a two week grace period, starting on May 15th, to collect the additional signatures.
The web site for all the details and information is: www.duedatetoolate.com

There will be an opportunity to sign the petition in Bailey tomorrow from 0900-5 PM at the Bailey Lifebridge Food Pantry at 288 Main St.
If you are interested and not able to make this date, there are other options in other locations to pick from listed on the website.

Actually, I will be at the Lifebridge food pantry from 2:30 till 5:00 on Friday, and 8:00 till noon on Saturday. Those are the normal hours. Sorry for any confusion.

I just returned from there and the woman working had no idea what I was talking about. I was given the exec director's contact info and will email that person unless you ARE that person. Could you clarify for us? Thank you.

I am not the director of the food pantry, but I do have his permission to be in the driveway collecting signatures while they are open. I am good friends with John and my son works there. The food pantry hours are 3:00-5:00 Fridays and 9:00-12:00 Saturdays. I will be there a little early both days this weekend. If anyone wants to sign but can’t make it those hours, PM me and we can arrange something. I have to turn these in Tuesday.

Thank you! The posted hours on the website are clearly incorrect. Thanks for the clarification. Hope nobody else heads that way early:(

Someone left a unique travel mug in my table between 11:30 and 12:00. PM me with a description and I’ll bring it to you.

In addition to tmjbp's collection efforts, which are much appreciated, this page on www.Duedatetoolate.com shows other collection sites in Colorado.

The signature collection period will end soon. Please make the effort and sign!

The petitions must be in to the Secretary of State on Friday. I will be taking mine down to Denver on Tuesday, but still have room for a few more signatures. PM me if you want to meet somewhere Sunday afternoon or Monday.

I think his name is spelled Brauchler. I support abortion rights, but I believe late term bans are a reasonable restriction. Statistics say 99% of abortions are done in the first 20 weeks.

I also still have that travel mug that was left on Saturday. PM me if it’s yours.
