I always use Bushducks for status of all the passes (scroll down to the list): http://www.bushducks.com/tripreps/passopen.htm

Haha, they show nothing of Guanella, but a user will soon update it. Anyone with firsthand knowledge can send updates. They have a link to the form.

I have a view of the eastern sides of Mt. Rosalie and Logan--it absolutely dumped snow up there last week. Have seen clouds of snow from several avalanches this week. The snow is very shiny in late afternoon, water from melt? I love Guanella Pass dearly but would not venture up there yet just from a common sense viewpoint :cold: :cold: :cold: .

Clear Creek County says pass opens May 24th, then posted these pics - thought I'd share here!

Holy snow banks! I knew it dumped last week, but this is wild for mid-May! Hope it's open for Memorial Day. I really hated the stretch on the south side near the top that felt like clay when wet. Clear Creek side was maintained so much better (sorry Park Co, you know it's true).

I think of Memorial Day as the day early campers get some snow on their tents. It seems to happen often. The actual statistics don't look like they support support that, though. I guess those are just the memorable ones to me.

Aspen--I don't know...as a gardener (veggies with fence and gate) I have to keep track of weather pretty closely so that I can cover stuff when snow & hail threaten, even as late as 4th of July one year back in the 80s. Now I have to know when to drape shade cloth over the lettuce. The weather is so unpredictable anymore I think I'll plant tomatoes on one side and snow peas on the other! I think your memory is pretty good.
